He said these things after the meeting of the advisory council of the interim government on Friday (August 9). Rizwana said, there is nothing to be restless now. As much time as necessary will be taken for reformation. Ultimately we have to go to democracy.
He also said that this interim government is for the preparation of all of us to start the journey of a democratic country. We will take the time required for that preparation. Eventually we will move towards democracy.
Rezwana Hasan said, they (students) protested to change the system against corruption. So action must be taken against corruption. However, most of our discussion today is about law and order.
He also said that there is no problem when the power is in the hands of a democratic government. But if the government is undemocratic, then the law is unenforceable. Therefore, there has been a discussion on identifying and repealing the provisions of the Cyber Security Act which are being unimplemented.
Mentioning that the meeting discussed robbery in different parts of the country, the advisor said, ‘The IGP was asked at the meeting, what information does he have? Moreover, many police stations are not functioning. As a result, we do not think that he will have all the information. So it was discussed to bring the law and order forces to work as soon as possible, especially the policemen.
Regarding the killings in the quota reform movement, Rizwana said that every shooting would be a transparent and inclusive trial. It was discussed in the meeting which process can be used to ensure that such incidents do not happen again.
